Who we are

LAGreen’s governance is based on a solid foundation and transparent processes. LAGreen is set up as a SICAV-SIF under Luxembourg law, a proven vehicle for numerous impact investment funds.
The Board of Directors, appointed by the fund’s shareholders, is LAGreen’s main decision-making body. The Investment Committee approves investment proposals submitted by the fund’s advisor, Finance in Motion. The members of the LAGreen Investment Committee are appointed by the Board of Directors.

Why green bonds in Latin America?

The green bond market in Latin America has huge potential, yet it is at an early stage of development.
While the amount of green bonds issued annually is growing, such expansion is focused on few economic segments and entities which already have good access to capital markets.
We strive for a more dynamic and diverse green bond market that is accessible for a wider variety of issuers, and can mobilize the required capital for financing pivotal initiatives for environmental and social change.
Latin America is a growing region that will play a key role in the fight against climate change. It is home to some of the largest forestry on the planet and is rich in natural resources and biodiversity.
Promoting best practices and high impact standards will be essential to better connect Latin America’s green bond market with international investors.
